The Philadelphia 76ers could be one of the most active teams on the trade market in the 2022 NBA offseason.

One of the top trade targets for the Sixers is All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.
In a recent article, Jack Simone of Fansided's Hoops Habit came up with an intriguing trade proposal that would enable the Sixers to acquire Beal while successfully unloading Tobias Harris and the $76.9 million he's owed over the next two years.
In the proposed blockbuster trade, the Sixers would be sending Harris, Shake Milton, and the No. 23 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to the Wizards in exchange for Beal.
As Simone noted, the proposed blockbuster deal would only be worth exploring for the Wizards if Beal expresses his desire to leave and specifically demands a trade to the Sixers. The Wizards would be left with no choice but to grant Beal's request, or they would risk losing him as a free agent without getting anything in return.
The trade package they would receive from the Sixers may not be ideal, but it's still better than letting Beal walk away for free.
The hypothetical blockbuster deal would be a no-brainer for the Sixers as it would enable them to hit two birds with one stone by making a little sacrifice.
By trading Milton and the No. 23 pick, the Sixers would be getting Harris' lucrative contract off their books while adding another legitimate superstar who would help Embiid and Harden carry the team in the 2022-23 NBA season.
The successful acquisition of Beal this summer would undoubtedly make the Sixers one of the heavy favorites to capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy next year.
Beal would undeniably be a dream acquisition for the Sixers. His potential arrival in the City of Brotherly Love would significantly improve their offense and allow them to form a "Big Three" with Embiid and Harden next season. Beal would give the Sixers another prolific scorer, a decent playmaker, and a legitimate three-point shooter.
This season, the 28-year-old shooting guard averaged 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc. With his ability to excel in an off-ball capacity, Beal isn't expected to have a hard time building chemistry with ball-dominant superstars like Embiid and Harden.
